This Mom and Son session was the absolute perfect session to wrap up 2016 for me! It was a warmer December morning and we lucked out with the sun being nice and warm, so we headed outside for a while. Rachel lives on the Ramapo River so the backdrop for this session was like no other. We hung out in nature along the river and had a lot of fun.
Ben is 4 and let me tell you, the energy he had for an early Sunday morning was like no other. Mom and I had to keep up with him but the images I captured of him being his 4-year old self are priceless. Again, no posing and no props, we just let the morning take us and skipping rocks, playing on tree trunks and hiding in the brush of the wet lands is where it lead us. I love his rosey cheeks and runny nose - I also love his butterfly mask he made at school that he clearly loved wearing. I mean, who would not want to be a butterfly!
This session was another one where my everyday life complimented this families life - they love to garden, live naturally, make homemade bread and be in nature. I love that I get to share so many similarities with these families - it connects us on so many levels.
This was my last session for 2016, but I will have one more blog to wrap up the year and I have sooo many new and exciting things coming for 2017. I can't wait to take this journey with you and your family.
Merry Christmas All!
