A beautiful Sunday morning in November - the plan was to play in the yard, and just let the boys be boys and that is exactly what we did. Mom wanted to document Dom's second birthday and she warned me that sometimes he loved to have a pouty face. So I was expecting to work pretty hard for smiles but let me tell you, not once did I have to work hard. We had so much fun and Dom LOVED to smile, giggle and play. This was the perfect type of session for him.
The boys played on the swing set (homemade by Dad btw!!!), had a little sword fight, rode their four wheelers, played a little baseball and even had a hand holding game of ring around the rosey! The whole morning was so natural and laid back. Not once did anyone say "Look at the camera and SMILE" or "Say Cheese". When we don't force smiles, we get the most genuine smiles and memories!
I love how this session turned out. I love the details. Those little details change so quickly. Images like this freeze moments forever. I have a feeling this is exactly how most weekend mornings are in this family so having these to look back on will be something they will cherish in years to come.
If you are ever considering a session like this, please do not hesitate. There is no worrying about matching outfits, the picture perfect back round, or the fake smiles you get when you say CHEESE!!!!
