On a rainy Sunday morning, I headed out to Brooklyn to shoot a family that just moved to a new apartment with their 6-month old son. I was not sure how the session would go because the baby was so young but it came out being one of my absolute favorite sessions! I had sooo much fun. This session was about 6+ hours and we packed a lot into the day.
Jack was one of the happiest babies I've ever met. From the time I walked in the door until the time I left, I did not hear a peep out of him and the continuous smile on this face was like no other. We headed out to lunch at a super cute place where we enjoyed a delicious brunch, headed to the Brooklyn Children's Museum where Jack had so much fun exploring new things and checking out the fish & reptiles. Then it was time for ice cream at a unique corner ice cream shop, where we all enjoyed a sweet treat. After our ice cream, we headed back to the apartment for some live music (huge music family which I totally could relate too), dinner, bath time and bedtime snuggles. I documented Jack's first time eating his mom's homemade meat balls which I know will be looked back on as heirloom images for this Italian family.
There was such a comfortable flow to the day that allowed me to just sit back and snap images that they will treasure forever. I was exposed to some new things during the session - as I've never really hung out in Brooklyn but I am so happy I was able to see some new places and enjoy the food/drinks of the area. I can't wait to hang with this family again as I know they will have soo many fun days to document in the future.
