Have you shopped yet for Mother's Day? It's only 3 days away!! There is still time...believe me! Why not make a homemade gift for mom. Homemade gifts don't have to take a lot of time nor do you have to spend a lot of money!

I made both of these gifts for each under $10. And they took me less than 30 min. to complete. I'm sure you can find time in the next three days to whip up a great gift for mom. Or have the kids make these for grandma or an aunt. Homemade gifts in my eyes are one of the best gifts! Below I give you a list of items you'd need to create both of these gifts. If you have other homemade items in mind that your making for Mother's Day, I'd love to hear about them so leave me a comment below on what your making!

Fresh Rosemary Kitchen Herb - Shannon Mulligan Photography

Fresh Herbs for the Kitchen Window:

Fresh Herb Plant - Rosemary, Lavender, Basil or Thyme

A terracotta pot

Cork (for bottom of the terracotta pot)

Organic Potting Soil

A homemade tag

You can decorate the pot with lace, ribbon or twine. It's super easy and will take less than ten minutes to put together and it will be a gift that keeps on giving! All my mom's from my Mommy & Me sessions went home with this adorable Rosemary Kitchen Plant!

Homemade Grapefruit Sugar Scrub - Shannon Mulligan Photography

Homemade Grapefruit Sugar Scrub:

1/2 cup Coconut Oil

1/2 cup White Sugar

Zest of a Grapefruit

1 teaspoon Grapefruit Juice

10 drops Organic Peppermint Oil

25 drops Organic Grapefruit Oil

Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer! Mix on low until everything is incorporated and then turn the speed up to for about 20 seconds to make it smooth and fluffy. Store in a air-tight glass jar. You can add some fabric or ribbon/twine to decorate it. Keep it in the shower or next to the kitchen sink to use. Scrub on hands/feet and rinse with warm water. Enjoy soft, silky skin!
