What an awesome in-home session with super cute 8-month old Addison and her parents!
I arrived at their home nice and early on a sunny Saturday morning! It was a chilly morning but the sun was sooo warm and welcoming – especially since the weekend before we had an ice storm during our scheduled session so we had to reschedule. Everything happens for a reason right?! I could not have asked for better natural lighting during our session!
It was breakfast time when I arrived and Addison was enjoying a homemade fruit blend. If you don’t know, it’s never a clean meal if you have an 8-month old getting spoon fed her breakfast. So unlike some other sessions, where I chat with the parents and allow the kids to warm up to me, I took out my camera and started shooting right away. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity of documenting such a common, routine practice they have, as a family of three. I chatted as I snapped and quickly learned that Addison LOVED the click of my shutter so I knew we were already off to a good start!
Throughout the morning we hung out in Addison’s nursery, played with some toys, looked out the window and took a stroll outside! We ended it with some family snuggles on the bed. It was a perfect morning and I loved spending time with this family! We had quite a few mutual friends, which is always fun, and had a lot in common!
In-home sessions are so casual and relaxing. There is no pressure what’s so ever! I just ask that you don’t look at the camera and let me do my job, which is to document moments you have with the ones you love the most!
