Well Hellooo!!!!!!!!!  Long time to chat! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year...I can't believe we are already heading into February! I've been quite here on the blog and just wanted to pop in and say HEY!

I've been laying low, relaxing a whole lot, dreaming up creative session ideas, and prepping for another amazing year. January is always a super slow time for natural light photographers, especially in the Northeast. Our days are short and the sunlight is limited. And it's COLD! I've been staying warm, in by the fire, reading some new books, catching up on movies, and truly just relaxing. It's good for the soul. I have also been sick for about two weeks, so the option for going out was completely taken off the table. I am on the mend and I am finally feeling human again!

I wanted to share with you a super exciting event I will be attending!  I will be attending my first ever Inspire Photo Retreat. Inspire is being held in the beautiful city of Newport, Rhode Island from February 8-10th.

"Inspire's mission is to foster & maintain a supportive community where photographers are encouraged & empowered to grow in their lives and businesses through innovative curriculum in the areas of Craft, Vision & Business."

I am beyond excited to meet some of the industry's leading photographers including Cig Harvey, Leah Haydock, Kirsten Lewis, as well as Mark Janzen and Karen Kelly! I CANNOT WAIT to have a mentoring session with Kirsten Lewis OMG!  I am also so excited to see one of my favorite photographers, Heidi Guerard. Last year I had the pleasure of attending her 3-day studio workshop and I look forward  to connecting with her again this year!

I feel attending workshops, conferences, and retreats is such a benefit to my business, and to me, as a business owner. Not only will I be learning from some of the top photographers, I will also be meeting like minded people from around the country, to connect and network with. I know I will come home with a wealth of knowledge that I can then put to use in my business.

I will be doing a follow up blog when I get home to let you all know how it went, and then after that, it's back to business. I've got a few newborn sessions, as well as Cake Smashes and Senior sessions already booked so be on the lookout for updated blogs and images! I am going to Rock 2016!
