Spring is finally arriving here in the Northeast! Yesterday, I took my mom to the New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show. If this show does not represent spring; I am not sure what would. With thousands of beautiful orchids; this sure did warm up our day. The Orchid Show is on display each year in the Enid A Haupt Conservatory. It is truly breathtaking how they display the orchids each year.
This year, (this is my fourth time attending) I wanted to shoot the show with a macro view. I used the Nikon 105mm which I truly loved. I really got a whole new view of the flowers. The colors and shapes of the orchids were in fact amazing.
I hope everyone can make it out to the show this year. It runs until April 22, so you still have plenty of time. And if you can’t make it there by then; the garden has so much to offer throughout the year I highly suggest you take a day trip to see it all.
And let me present to you some of the photos I took yesterday:
