WHOA! What fun we had at Riley's First Birthday Cake Smash!

This was the first cake smash I've shot in my in-home studio, and I can't wait until my next one (mid-January!!!). It was so much fun seeing Riley dig right into the giant cupcake...she had no fear. We did a mini shoot before we introduced the cake, and let me tell you how cute she looked in her black/red tutu and leg warmers! SWOON! We then introduced the cupcake; homemade by Madison Bake Shoppe, and it only took a few pokes at the icing to really get her into it. She loved it! She had icing and cake all over her but that made it all the more fun. I'm sure she went home with a sugar high and then quickly crashed! Mom and Dad got in on the action too and had a great time!

Cake Smash sessions are great for your little one's first birthday. You can do it before their birthday and use the pictures for invites or at the party; or you can do it right on their birthday for a fun way to celebrate with your little one (who may be growing up just a little too quick for you). Check out my website for more details!

This is my last blog post for 2013, but please check back tomorrow afternoon for my first 2014 blog announcing some new things coming to Shannon Mulligan Photography!

Happy New Year to you all...and see you in 2014.

Cheers!

Hi, I'm planning a lady bug bd for my daughter Isabella and would love to get the bloomers and bib Riley used for your session. Can you tell me where to find them?

Thanks in advance,
Isabella's mom :-)

Hello Isabella's Mom!!!

I am not sure where the bloomers or bib came from...Riley's mom brought them to her session. You may be able to find something like them on Etsy. Is Isabella turning one? Are you interested in ladybug Cake Smash?? Let me know....we can set something up!
Thanks-
Shannon

Yes she is, unfortunatelly welive in CA. I saw your blog and photos and found them beautiful. Since we're looking to relocate to the east coast maybe I'll be lucky to move to NJ.

Have a great one!
