You know, sometimes when you have an idea, and you just have to run with it. And this was my idea. And boy am I so happy I ran with it.
I posted a casting call over the summer and was sooo happy with the response I got from it. So many people contacted me, interested in having their daughter photographed, by ME. It was so hard to choose from all the inquires but one lucky gal was chosen and I think she was the most perfect fit. She had such a sweet personality, a bit quite but willing to give anything a shot. She allowed me to dress her, change her headband ten times, and even trusted me to get her toes wet in the river.
We met at the Ramapo Valley County Reservation, where I had her put on the outfit I bought for her to wear. When I say I had a vision, I had a vision. I went shopping and picked out an outfit, along with boots and matching accessories. We then first started at an abandoned building along a beautiful path filled with greenery, then over to another path that led to the river, where we hiked along and then into the water, and ended up at the beautiful lake in the middle of the reservation.
Not once did Keira disagree with anything I had in mind. These casting call type sessions are for me to fulfill an idea, to work on posing and techniques, and to get super creative for myself. I am so happy with the way it turned out that I have decided that starting in 2016, I will be doing two a year so be on the lookout for Casting Call Requests. Also, be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletter so you are the first to be informed on anything Shannon Mulligan Photography is up too!
So here are the beautiful images of Keira....such a sweet sweet young lady <3
