I was lucky enough to have a session with one of the BEST backdrops in the county, the New York City Skyline. It was a very wacky day, clouds all day, rain, bright sun, and then dark, dark clouds that led us into another wicked storm. Luckily, our session fell between the rain and the dark, dark clouds!
I was so excited to shoot a sibling trio at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. It was so nice to have my subjects take direction and not once did I have to tell them to "look this way at the camera"...HAHA! Emily and her two younger brothers were awesome and they were up for anything. This was one of my quickest sessions...but we managed to get tons of different poses and set ups.
Liberty State Park is beautiful. It hosts the heartfelt Empty Sky Memorial which is just across the Hudson from the World Trade Center site. It is also the home of the historic CNJ Train Lines which were the hub of transportation, until it closed in 1967. And did I mention it has one of the best views of Lower Manhattan and the NYC Sky Line, as well as The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I highly recommend taking a trip to see the beauty for yourself.
I hope to work with Emily and her family again in the future!!! I know their mom will LOVE these pictures!
