You know when you have an idea and you just keep thinking about it, and thinking about, and thinking about it. Well that is what this session was all about. I've had this idea for a few months now so I finally had to execute it. Luckily, I had the most beautiful model to help my creative thoughts and ideas come to life.
Isabella is my 6-year old niece and I don't know how many people have already told me how old she looks in these photos! She looks stunning! I ordered the dress from DLilesCollection and it was just perfect. It was made wonderfully and fit Isabella perfectly. I also purchased her headband from TheCraftyEuropean (both found on Etsy), and the fresh flower halo was from Anna Rose Florist in North Haledon, New Jersey. Everything came together perfectly! I brought along the ladder, Mason Jar with iced tea and a paper straw to add some props to the session. I realized I didn't need all that when you have a wonderful backdrop and stunning subject.
We headed up to High Mountain Reservation in Wayne and just had fun! Isabella was so willing to try all sorts of things and didn't complain at all! I was able to work on some posing and some lighting techniques! It was such a wonderful learning experience and such an awesome experience to have with my niece.
Isabella loved her outfit from our session so much, she wore it to her first day of 1st grade last week. I am so happy she enjoyed it as much as I did.
I read somewhere that if you have a creative mind and an idea, you just need to get it out. And I am so happy I did. I think this was one of my best sessions and I hope to do more stylized sessions in the future!
Thanks again to Isabella for being the most beautiful, perfect 6-year old model any aunt could have asked for!
And yes...my 4-year old nephew took a picture of Isabella and I after the session! He was such a good boy while we had our session...he hiked through the woods with my husband, found rocks to throw around and picked up sticks to use as walking sticks! Jake loves taking pictures so I always allow him to use my camera when he asks and he always knows the first rule is to put the strap around his neck! I think he took a pretty awesome photo!
