Where is Spring? Honestly, here in the Northeast we are getting slammed this winter. I cannot take another snow day or delayed opening. I just want my regular routine and no interruptions. And talk about getting outside to shoot---we might not see grass until August with the rate we are going at. (Ok---my venting is over HAHA!)
As many as you know though, while browsing in the stores, all of the spring clothes have already hit the shelves. It's so hard to think about cute blouses and skirts when I'm in Uggs and sweaters all day - everyday lately. But I am hoping spring will make an appearance in the next few weeks and so I am showing off some lovely spring outfits.
When planning for a photo session with Shannon Mulligan Photography you want to accessorize artfully. For everyone in the photo, one or two carefully selected embellishments make a stronger impact than piles of careless ones! A statement piece is called that for a reason. One is best, two is pushing it, three is out of the question.
Women can express themselves the most through accessories. Try a large cuff in a metal tone or a large statement necklace with a plain colored top. If you wish to wear larger earring, make sure you hair style will be able to show them off, and keep the rings to a minimum of one on each hand. You have to remember that some of these trends may be in style now, but looking back on your photo's ten years from now, you don't want to say "What was I thinking?" (I know we've all done it....Hello 1980's).
If you are looking for that awesome statement necklace or large chunky ring, check out a friend of mine who sells Stella and Dot in Northern New Jersey. You can view her website here and be sure to like her on Facebook also!
I hope these spring styles help you pick out your next outfit for a session with Shannon Mulligan Photography!
